Its all so superficial isn't it, the jobs and who we are thing. I've spent a lot of time pondering/worrying about that when really I should have just done more trying rather than narrowing down.
Love the shot of the snow heap/ road detritus. Weird how at the end of the season they become dirt instead of snow piles.
Yeah its so easy to get caught up in the narrowing down of things. Yeah its funny because they use gravel on most roads to melt ice or add grip so it means the piles of snows they have in parking lots just becoming massive gravel piles come spring.
Easier said than done but best not to become too narrow in an outlook or job role etc. We are after all just living a finite little life and a job isn't really all that important. Good luck on the new job move/chapter.
Yeah I found it peculiar when I first went to Canada. I looked to buy a car in Alberta and all cars had cracked windshields because of the gravel. Kind of funny. Here in England a car would be deemed unsafe with a cracked windshield.
It’s easy to get caught in fixed identities, especially after leaving a job or shifting roles. I'm in a similar spot myself. But you've articulated that strange, in-between space where you’re not quite sure what you are yet, but you’re still doing, still noticing, still living. As you say, verbs, not nouns. Lovely images too.
the Wilde quote is interesting. I think we so often get caught up in ideas of being without stopping to think how silly and made up it all is.
Love the shot of Millennium Centre on Main and looking down at the Cityplace BPs especially.
Thanks Tyler! Yes yes that structure and the off angle mirrored reflection is fun.
