Family weekend at a friend’s cottage in Seven Sisters, MB. Taking a little canoe ride.

RIP Public Safety building
Chinatown light
Have a great day!
Me.
The lighting in this spot right besides Sam Po always looks SO GOOD.
My mission is to take so many pictures of Chinatown, before Centreventre gentrifies the fuck out of it.
Life imitating art that represents art.
Marika with the art at the MAWA member’s show. Someone bought her art!
Mclaren Hotel.
My favourite little corner on my walk from work into the exchange.
My friend talks about Winnipeg having “good bones.” Some good bones here perhaps?
They are just okay.
Sherbrook Street. Part of my West Broadway streets photo series that I’m starting.
Boy Golden in the Maryland Food Fare!
Seriously they got to get rid of the parking lot here. Seeing all these people hang out here, it’s got to be turned into a little park or something like that ASAP.
Sherbrook light.
Sherbrook light ii (also long live Computech Camer Repair).
And then in the middle of September, I found myself flying to Toronto for a bachelor party weekend.

Houses in Kensington Market. I don’t want to imagine how ridiculously expensive these are now.
I like “the LC” over “LCBO”
Current insta profile pic.
White bicycle to commemorate Miguel Joshua Escanan, who died in a cycling accident in 2021 when he was 18 years old. “Accident” doesn’t being to touch on the severity and reality of vehicular violence towards the public. My late uncle also had this violence inflicted upon him too, in 1998 in Toronto. He was biking down Lake Shore Blvd, West of Toronto and was hit by a driver, and died. I was overseas and never was able to grow up with an uncle from my mom’s side. Miguel’s parents will never be able to watch him grow up. So much potential, snuffed out just like that.
Back in Winnipeg, I rest of the month was a blur besides all the protests events I attended. Here was a counter protest to the “million person march” or whatever that was.
Some shots around St. Boniface:
Here was the rally for Trans youth and kids:
Photo taken by my partner. I had my printer so she was able to print out a copy of this photo and give it to them right away. They lost their minds they were so excited.

Photo by my partner. My sister holding a sign my partner had made.
Prof at my old university giving out coffee.
David who attends my church. His sign that is pinned to his jacket reads “Proud parent of a trans child.”
The light was so nice, I told them to stand over there and let me take their photo. Initially Marika was pissed and I got some other nicer photos however I like Marika’s stern and resolute expression here.
Why are the best sunsets in grocery store parking lots?
I kept looking for people I know in your protest shots and came up empty. I'm convinced that our mutually exclusive existences overlapping the exact same geographies in Winnipeg is proof the multiverse exists and our friendship is the wormhole between the two universes.
Anyway, my favourites were "Canoe ride ii", the one of you in Chinatown, the woman carrying the kid in the plastic wagon, the alley barn, the 5th Toronto photo of the women passing by, the light on McCaul St near OCADU, the St Boniface Sally Anne's, the grumpy but nice light one of your sis, and Orange Shirt Day.
Thoughts on Market Lands at the old Public Safety Bldg?
