The snow returned after a seemingly long hiatus.
March was a month of an abnormal amount of building fires. Or at least that is how it felt. This fire pictured here is on Toronto Street.
And then my partner and I headed off to Toronto. Our favourite band, Bombay Bicycle Club was coming to North America for the first time in a decade and we decided to go to the closest show there was. For us it meant Toronto. It felt pretty extravagant just to go for the concert so we made a trip out of it seeing friends in Toronto and Hamilton.
Torontians love to hate the TTC but at least they got something. Someone on Winnipeg reddit made a fantasy Winnipeg transit system that was based off the TTC in terms of size and system and I was definitely thinking about it when I was there.
Who would have thought a No frills could be in a structure other than a lifeless big box store?
I took a photo of this mural in Chinatown when I was there for the first time in 2019, and then last fall my brother took a photo of me in front of it and then I did it again here. It’s becoming a Toronto tradition.

Friends and dogs.

And then back at it with Winnipeg.
Just learned that the underground at Portage and Main is going to be closed down. Hurrah for opening up the intersection to pedestrian traffic but only because Winnipeg once again went with the cheapest option.
Karoake at Limelight
Partner got the hair cut short again, similar to when we started dating.
And as always…Free Palestine
Post Easter supper shenanigans. Oma at 100 playing Skip-Bo. She lives in an apartment building by herself but plays Skip-Bo with her friends down the hall every Friday.

Love this set, and the picture of your partner with the scarf and pins is gorgeous!
